As Carennac is a very small commune there is no supermarket however there are a number of supermarkets in nearby larger villages (see the following section). There are a few small speciality shops dotted around the village which sell pottery and other arts and crafts.

Épicerie (Grocer)
The local épicerie (grocer) is located on the main road D43 (near the Post Office). It has a small range of groceries and fresh fruit and vegetables. Bread (baguettes, etc) can be purchased also from the epicerie. It is open most days from 8.00am (in summer) and a little later during the rest of the year.

Market
There are markets held in Carennac however they only occur during summer. The local produce market is held every Tuesday in July and August from 5.00pm. There is a special ‘fête’ on the first Monday of August – ‘Fête de La Prune Reine-Claude Dorée de Carennac’.
Many of the nearby villages have markets throughout the year.
